Glitches continue to cause confusion for CoE job applicants

“No fee is payable for any advertised job.”

The City of Ekurhuleni appealed to those applying for positions at the city to always seek assistance directly from CoE when experiencing any problems.

CoE divisional head of communication and media relations Nhlanhla Cebekhulu said it was brought to the city’s attention that some job applicants experience technical glitches and difficulties when applying for positions through the city’s online recruitment portal.

“Applicants are advised to phone Ekurhuleni Call Centre on 0860 54 3000 or visit their nearest public library.”

Turnaround times when calling the city is 48 hours during the week and 72 hours on weekends.

Applicants can alternatively visit or contact the CoE’s walk-in centres situated at customer care centres:

“Candidates are urged to be vigilant and not fall prey to scammers who swindle candidates of their money claiming to be employees of the city,” said Cebekhulu.
