Covid-19: SA’s confirmed coronavirus cases reach half a million mark

148 new deaths have brought the total number of deaths to 8 153, while the recovery rate is sitting at 68% with 342 461.

Covid-19 cases continue to rise with 10 107 new cases bringing the total to 503 290.
Gauteng remains the worst affected province with 178 119 infections, followed by the Western Cape with 96 189 and the KwaZulu-Natal Cape with 79 607.
