Lockdown gestures to make you smile

The lighthearted Maria Ferencz brought smiles to fellow elderly residents after she creatively decorated Tarentaal Village’s entrance with Covid-19 ornaments and masks.

During the lockdown, Maria entertained the village residents by creating homemade masks for her rhino statues.

She colour codes the masks on a weekly basis.

The 80-year-old resident is well-loved at the village.

Through these gestures, the creative elder has uplifted the spirits of residents where the morale can be quite low during these challenging times.

Maria and her husband, Andreas, are originally from Hungary.

They have been residents of the village for the past 12 years.
