KRRA ready for Spring Fair

The Kensington Residents and Ratepayers Association promises this year’s fair to be the best.

The annual Kensington Spring Fair will return this coming September.

The fair is a highlight on the Kensington community calendar.

The fair will be held on September 8 in Rhodes Park and the Kensington Residents and Ratepayers Association (KRRA) plans to make this year’s event the best.

In keeping with tradition, the Jeppe Boys High School Pipe Band will open the fair.

There will be loads of entertainment to cater for both young and old throughout the day.

There will be a puppet show by Spellbound Puppets, a talent contest and the crowning of Miss and Master Spring Fair.

Talent contestants need to be between 13 to 20 years old to enter.

Entries can include singing, dancing, instrumental music, juggling, comedy or magic.

Entrants under the age of 18 years must have a consent form parent of guardian.

Entrants will be required to attend an audition and must apply via email to SF2019@krra.org.za or whatsapp Roslyn on 079 924 2166.

The day will boast games for the whole family from jumping castles, pick-a-box, knock the adult off the perch and fishing game.

This year the fair will also have a tea garden for the elderly and anyone wishing to enjoy music from the ‘60s and ‘70s provided by Bobby Louw.

Fair lovers requested the return of the Fighting Fit Africa event and a demonstration will be included in this year’s programme.
