Jeppe CC reach a successful end of season

The next cricket season begins at the beginning of October.

Jeppe Quondam’s Presidents played a home match against UJ.

“Sunday was our last home fixture for the season,” said Lauren Borchers, Jeppe Quondam’s Cricket Club secretary.

“Our season is almost over.”

She said most of the Jeppe CC teams have done really well this season, with all of them sitting in the top five of their respective leagues, up to date.

Ari Karvelas received the Commitment and Dedication award from Dean Laing, chairman of Jeppe CC.

“Our players have outperformed this season and it has been a great season of growth for our club,” said Lauren.

The two star players for the season were senior players Nicholas Smit and Ari Karvelas.

They were both recognised for their sterling performance at the Jeppe CC end-of-season dinner.

Nicholas Smit received the Eric Rowan award from Dean Laing, chairman of Jeppe CC.

Nicholas received the Eric Rowan award and Ari received the Commitment and Dedication award for the second year in a row.

“The last-round fixtures will take place on March 7 and one more match for the Premier side on March 14,” said Lauren.

The next cricket season begins at the beginning of October.
