Jeppe SAPS arrested an alleged drug dealer at the corner of 5th Street and Albertina Sisulu Road in Bez Valley on October 12 following a tip-off from the community.
According to Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Capt Richard Munyai, the 41-year-old was in possession of drugs when he was arrested.
“He was arrested after the police proceeded to the address provided to police. Upon searching the house, officers found tablets believed to be Mandrax. The suspect was immediately arrested and detained at the Jeppe SAPS,” he said.
The suspect will appear in court soon while the police investigation continues.
Munyai applauded the community for providing the tip-off to the police and commended the police for taking action which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
