Yeoville SAPS makes 21 arrests

JOBURG – The suspects have appeared in different courts and some have paid their fines.

Yeoville SAPS arrested 21 suspects between August 7 and 14.

The suspects were arrested for committing crimes ranging from assault, malicious damage to property and theft.

The arrests were as follows:

• Two for unlawful possession of a firearm.

• Two for robbery with a weapon other than a firearm.

• One for house robbery and theft.

• One for possession of a dangerous weapon.

• Three for common assault.

• Two for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

• Two for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• One for shoplifting.

• One for malicious damage to property.

• One for fraud.

• One for discharging a firearm.

• Four for possession of drugs.

“The suspects have appeared in different courts and some have paid their fines while others are out on bail and others remain in custody,” said the spokesperson for Yeoville SAPS, Capt Sifiso Mabizela. Contact Yeoville SAPS on 011 487 5900.
