Two JWV representatives are finalists in Gsport awards

The Gsport awards released the final list for its 12th edition recently and two of Janine Van Wyk's (JVW) representatives were among the finalists.

Project Manager, Lauren Duncan was announced as a finalist for Woman of the Year, whilst First Team and Banyana Banyana midfielder, Amanda Dlamini made her mark as one of the top three Style Stars.

Lauren really has her work cut out for her. She simultaneously juggles club duties with JVW FC, schools league duties with the JVW Girls Schools league and National team duties.

She also managed both the u-17 and u-20 women’s national teams ahead of the 2016 World Cup qualifiers and the Senior Women’s National Team ahead of the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON).

“Passion, drive and determination are some of the simple ingredients needed to continue to uplift and be the change of the women’s football game. It takes long hours, patience and pure love for the game to improve women’s football and that’s exactly what my aim is,” said Lauren.

Banyana and JVW FC Midfielder, Jockey Ambassador and Supersport Analyst are some of the credentials Amanda has behind her name.

Banyana and JVW FC midfielder has been nominated for the Gsport Awards.

She is one of the top five, highest capped female footballers in SA. She has been nominated as a Style Star finalist.

Amanda continuously shows that anything can be done on and off the field if you follow your passion. Amanda continues to be a role model to many young girls and shows character through her accomplishments, and through her style.

Winners will be announced on August 26, at the Gsport Awards in Johannesburg.
