Man flees after killing two men

JOBURG - Cleveland police are appealing to the community to assist them with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Two men were shot dead by an unknown attacker on 32nd Street in Malvern on July 2.

According to the spokesman for Cleveland Police Station Captain Johan Jordaan, the two were in a back room with their friends and had just returned from a day out.

While they were having a conversation with their friends, an unknown suspect banged on their door and forced it open.

“The suspect fired two shots at the men. One of the deceased was shot in the head and the other was shot in his chest,” said Jordaan. He said both the men died from their wounds.

The suspect fled the scene and police are pleading with the community to come forward with any information regarding this matter.
