St Stithians Boys win Feda 2017

JOBURG – St Stithians Boys' College won Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts (FEDA)Excellence.

St Stithians Boys’ College had the winning production at the Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts (Feda) 2017 grand finale evening recently. Feda is an annual festival for dramatic arts schools in Johannesburg.

Departments compete and showcase their skills and talent on stage. Schools start by performing at two festivals, which are the Original Works Festival and the Published Works Festival.

The winners of these two festivals perform and compete, alongside two other plays (one from each section), to win the title of overall Feda winner,

The school is pleased to have won the Best Chorus and Best Director. “It is with undeniable pride to announce that St Stithians Boys’ College, out of 67 schools who entered, won the Feda Festival of 2017 with the Best Production,” said Matthew Ross, the St Stithians Boys’ College teacher-in-charge for Feda 2017.

“After the performances, there were several awards that were handed out. We were nominated for best sound, best lighting, best visual effects, best chorus, best ensemble, most inspirational play, best original script and best director.”
