Old car parked at Dewetshof Old Age Home since 2012 is a headache for councillor Neuren Pietersen

DEWETSOF - Councillor Neuren Pietersen wants an old car at the Dewetshof old age home impounded.

Ward 118 councillor Neuren Pietersen has raised concerns about an old car that has been parked at the Dewetshof Old Age Home since 2012.

According to Pietersen the owner passed away in Greece and has no family here in South Africa. “Nobody has claimed the vehicle. It should be advertised to say that it is here and should be removed by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) and put in the vehicle pound.

Pietersen said the car can’t be sold as the State must approve the sale. “I will get the car impounded and the authorities must take the necessary action to get rid of the car,” said Pietersen. He said he had raised his concerns with Metro police and he will follow up with them to ensure the car is impounded.
