Jeppe police officers arrested two suspects for murder on the corner of End and Durban streets in Jeppestown on 14 March.

This comes after police officials received a tip-off from the community about two bodies lying on the corner of Davies and Rocky streets in Doornfontein on 4 March.

“Officials were shown two bodies of the deceased upon arrival. A case of murder was opened and an investigation started,” said the spokesperson for Jeppe Police Station, Captain Richard Munyai.

On 14 March, police officers received information about the whereabouts of the two suspects. “Officials proceeded to the given address where they found both suspects and arrested them. They were taken to Jeppe Police Station.

“During the profiling of the suspects, they found out that both are wanted for a murder case in Lesotho, while they are each wanted for a case of assault at Jeppe Police Station and another one for murder at Primrose Police Station,” said Munyai.

The suspects, aged 30 and 33, were charged and detained at the station.

“They will appear in court soon while police investigations are continuing,” concluded Munyai.
