VIDEO: councillor Neuren Pietersen inspects Ward 118 with Urban Management and encounters some unhappy business owners
JOBURG – Councillor says with the new mayor, Herman Mashaba, there is a revitalised energy in the administration to turn this ship around.
Ward 118 councillor Neuren Pietersen and members of the Urban Management team inspected Ward 118 on 10 March. Areas which were inspected were Bruma, Malvern, Kensington and China Town.
Pietersen said the ward had been neglected for many years and was in a sorry state. “With the new mayor [Herman Mashaba], there is a revitalised energy in the administration to turn this ship around. The issues recorded will not get solved in a day but they are being escalated to be resolved as soon as the resources are available,” said Pietersen.

According to Pietersen, some business owners people did not take too kindly to members of Urban Management telling them their customers were parked illegally
“The illegal parkers ultimately moved.”
