Two sentenced for theft

The accused had fled to Venda in Limpopo where the investigations officers went, traced and arrested them. They brought them back to Gauteng where they appeared in court.

The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court has sentenced Robert Tshililo Nemabaka (28) and Rotshidzwa Netshiavha (21) each to six years imprisonment after they were found guilty of motor vehicle theft.

They were sentenced on August 31.

They were found guilty of stealing four cars from NZR Motor City in Jeppestown in January 2013.

“Mr Abdul Aziz Seepye went to the car dealer shop which is owned by his son on January 11, 2013. He discovered that four cars, an Opel Astra, a Toyota Corolla, a Polo Classic and a BMW were missing.

“A case of theft of motor vehicle was opened at Jeppe SAPS and an investigation started. It was later discovered that the two men were involved in the disappearance of the cars,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.

“The accused had fled to Venda in Limpopo where the investigations officers traced and arrested them. They brought them back to Gauteng where they appeared in court,” said W/O Munyai.
