The Jeppe SAPS is currently investigating a case of drug dealing.

This comes after officers confiscated drugs and passports during a search at a flat in Doornfontein at about 1pm, following a tip off on June 30 that a Nigerian man was dealing in drugs.

“On their arrival, the police did not find anyone in the room where the suspect lives. They then approached a 45-year-old woman who works as a caretaker of the flat to open for them,” said the Jeppe SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.

“Upon searching the flat, the police found substances believed to be drugs and two passports. The drugs are estimated to have a R100 000 street value,” said W/O Munyai.

“The suspect was not found and he is still at large. Investigations are underway at the Jeppe SAPS,” he said.
