Man caught with illegal medication

The arrest came following a tip-off received by the SAPS.

The Cleveland SAPS arrested a 64-year-old suspect for illegal possession of medicine worth R500 000 on May 12.

The arrest came following a tip-off received by the SAPS.

“At about 12 noon, officers received information about a suspect in possession of medicine on Beryl Street, Cyrildene,” said the acting spokesperson for the Cleveland SAPS, Constable Mpho Maskakane.

“Officers proceeded to the address and on arrival they found the suspect in possession of medicine and failed to produce permit for them,” she added.

The suspect was detained at Cleveland SAPS and will appear in court soon.
