One man was arrested while his two accomplices escaped following a robbery in Yeoville on March 12, shortly after 7pm.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said a man was walking near the corner of Dunbar and Kenmere streets he was confronted by three men.
“One of the men pulled out a knife and threatened him. They took his cellular phone before fleeing the scene. The victim noticed a passing police van and alerted the officers to what had just happened.
“One of the men was traced to a few blocks away from the scene. He was arrested. He will appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
