Petrol station robbed

An employee was submitting money, given to her for petrol, to the cashier when she was forced inside by an armed man.

Three men robbed a petrol station’s shop along Marcia Street in Bruma yesterday, shortly after 4pm.

The Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said an employee was submitting money, given to her for petrol, to the cashier when she was forced inside by an armed man.

“The woman was forced into the shop where the cashier was. Two other armed men joined in. They demanded money. The men took money from the tills and cigarettes.

“They forced the employees into the safe room and ordered them to open the safe. When they were told the employees did not have the key to the safe, the men fled in a grey RunX and another white car,” said Const Mashakane.
