Dlaba FC sinks Titanic FC

Veteran soccer players play to keep fit.

Malvern Titanic FC blamed its strikers for the 1-0 loss to Dlaba FC on Sunday.

The teams from Malvern met at Rhodes Park soccer grounds in a friendly game.

Titanic FC’s coach Edward Sediane said his team had possession for most of the game.

“We dominated the whole game. We were supposed to seal it at the first half.

“We had a good game but failed to convert the chances we created,” Sediane said.

Dlaba FC’s captain Bhekumuzi Msimango said his team missed many opportunities.

“We were strong up front. If we converted all our chances it would have been a different outcome,” he said.

Msimango said the game was to encourage good health in the veteran soccer players.

“We play for fun and to keep fit. I encourage others to join us or organise fun games for the older generations. We are very competitive but we are not playing to break a leg,” he said.
