Patrolling police officers arrested two suspects who had just broken into a car on Sunday, December 6, shortly after 5am.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said police officers saw two men running along Cavendish Street in Yeoville. When they tried to stopped them, the men continued running.
“The police officers were able to apprehend both men. The men had a car radio in their possession. They were unable to explain where they had obtained the radio. While the police officers were still busy with the men, the owner arrived at the scene,” he said.
Const Malatji said the men are facing cases of being in possession of suspected stolen property and stealing from a motor vehicle.
