Da Rocha calls for action
It is believed criminals use the tunnels to escape after committing a crime in Rhodes Park.
The ward 66 councillor, Clr Carlos Da Rocha, said access to the water tunnels in Rhodes Park must be controlled.
This follows reports that criminals who commit crime in the park use the the tunnels to monitor potential targets, or as an escape route.
During the resent double murder and rape incident, suspects were said to have used these tunnels to escape.
