Sandile remembered

“Sandile Mkhwanazi will be missed for his joyful soul and friendly nature,” – Branch Manager, Mr Chris Mcinga.

Caxton East Rand is mourning the passing of one of its employees, Mr Sandile Mkhwanazi.

Mr Mkhwanazi died at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital in Germiston on Thursday afternoon.

His death followed a short illness.

Mr Mkhwanazi lived in Vasumuzi Section, Tembisa.

He joined Caxton as a driver in July 2013 and was based in the East Rand.

Branch Manager, Mr Chris Mcinga, said Mr Mkhwanazi will be missed.

“We will miss his joyful soul and friendly nature,” he said.

Ms Letticia Mabaso, from the Human Resources Department, said Mr Mkhwanazi was always willing to help.

“Even if he was returning from somewhere or if he was eating, when you asked him to do something, especially if it was work related, he would drop everything and do it. He will be missed for his jokes and dedication to his job,” she said.

One of the drivers, Mr Bongani Ngwenya, said Mr Mkhwanazi taught him the routes.

“A gentleman. He taught me all his routes with a smile. He was good with directions. While he was in hospital, he gave me short cut directions from the hospital to my next appointment with ease. We will miss him,” said Mr Ngwenya.

Mr Mkhwanazi will be buried in Limehill, his home town in KwaZulu-Natal.

The date has yet to be confirmed.
