Business as usual at the new Bruma Oriental City

It seems like it’s business as usual at the new Bruma Oriental City.

It seems like it’s business as usual at the new Bruma Oriental City.

The EXPRESS reported on March 31 that Bruma Oriental City tenants held a picket outside the market on March 23, following instructions to vacate and move to the new Bruma Oriental City.

Keypunch Properties denied evicting the tenants and accused those who participated in the picket of not paying their deposits for shops at the new market.

The tenants accused the mall owners of not providing detailed information about the move. The tenants said they were first given notices, advising them that they will be moving to the new premises on March 28. This was later changed to March 23.

Tenant, Ms Thobeka Dlodlo, said tenants paid the deposit for the new shops and they don’t have a problem with moving in, but the shops were not finished at the time.

The EXPRESS spoke to the tenants again last week and they said they were operating.

Ms Yolanda Nelson said, “The mall is operating now and all the shop owners have opened their stores. There is still some work to be done here and there, but most of the shops are finished and there is no longer any dust.”
