Cellulite – also known as adiposis oedematous and orange peel syndrome, is the herniation of subcutaneous fat within fibrous connective tissue bands that shows on the skin as dimpling and nodules.

The collagen and elastin fibres production is significantly reduced. Diminished blood flow leads to insufficient inflow of nutrients and outflow of waste products. It is commonly found on the buttocks, stomach and lower limbs and there is a 90 percent occurrence in post-pubescent females.

Causes are variable: hormonal, genetic factors, lifestyle and predisposing factors.

The X-Wave is a sound wave therapy that can help with cellulite.

So where does the X-Wave acoustic therapy fit in with all of this?

It is an extremely efficient solution for anti-cellulite therapy, which shows improvement in uneven lipoplasty results,

So how does the X-Wave work?

Blood circulation and collagen production is significantly stimulated and increased. The tissue of the skin is tightened. The firmness and elasticity of the dermis increases.

Patients typically experience improvement in the skin’s texture and elasticity, as well as dermal filling and reduction in dimples on the skin's appearance.

Generally six to eight treatments are required and results can still improve 45 days after treatment due to collagen remodelling.
