Residents in Bez Valley arrested two men after they robbed a young girl on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Albertina Sisulu Road.
Two men robbed a 15-year-old girl of her cellular phone at about 3pm in the afternoon.
Residents saw what was happening and chased the suspects. They managed to catch and arrest them.
Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi said the police were called and the suspects were handed over to them.
The stolen cellular phone was found in their possession and the two men were arrested. They were taken to the Jeppe SAPS where they were charged and detained.
They will appear in the Jeppe Magistrate’s Court soon. Police investigations are continuing.
