Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a security guard at a company in City Deep alleged he was at work when a group of suspects entered the building.
“He pressed the panic button and more security guards responded to the alarm. The building was searched and two suspects were found in one of the offices,’ said Const Mashakane.
The guards were told that there were five suspects. Three had escaped.
The suspects fled with boxes of shoes.
The two suspects who were caught were detained at the Cleveland SAPS.
