Three arrested for theft out of motor vehicle

Police stopped to ask the men what was going on and the suspects attempted to flee

Three suspects were arrested for theft out of a motor vehicle in Yeoville. The arrests took place at the corner of Raymond and Hunter streets on Sunday, August 17.

According to Constable Thabo Malatji, the spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, police officers were on a routine patrol when they noticed three men exiting a vehicle parked on the side of the street. He said the officers stopped and asked the men what was going on. The suspects attempted to flee but the officers managed to apprehend them. Const Malatji said, during the commotion, the owner of the vehicle arrived and confirmed that his vehicle was broken into. The suspects were detained at the Yeoville SAPS and are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of theft out of a motor vehicle. @JoburgJourno
