Spring fair to take place

It is almost time to shake those icicles off and join the community in celebrating the beginning of spring.

The Kensington Spring Fair, hosted by the I Love Kensington Association (Ilka), will take place on September 7 from 9am to 4pm in Rhodes Park.

Local crafts, jewellery, cosmetics, toys and great food are just some of the things to look forward to.

Due to parts of the park being water logged, where the fair usually takes place, it will now take place closer to the soccer fields.

Soccer teams are advised that the park will not be available for play from a few days prior to the event.

The entrance fee for visitors to the fair is R2. Guarded parking will also be available for R25, with an entrance through Orlando Street.

There are still stalls available. 2.5 x 2.5 stalls are R150, gazebos which are 3 x 3 are R300 and prices for charity stalls are R80.

For further information or to book a stall, contact Mrs Lornette Joseph, the Ilka chairperson, on 083 847 4510 or Ms Sue Muller on 082 499 4958.

Alternatively, e-mail springfair@kensington.org.za for more information.
