The incident occurred at the corner of Webb and Joe Slovo streets on Sunday, July 20.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji of the Yeoville SAPS, the suspect approached a woman, pointed a firearm at her and robbed her of her belongings.
Police officers were informed and they found the suspect trying to rob another woman near the same corner.
A toy gun was found in his possession. He was arrested and detained.
