Shooting in Jeppe

A 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Kent Street, Jeppestown, on March 2.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said police officers received information about the incident and went to the scene.

They found a man lying on a bed in a pool of blood. “He had a gunshot wound in his head and two cartridges were found on the floor. His wife alleged that she saw one suspect wearing a balaclava enter the room and shoot her husband. The suspect took a cellular phone and fled the scene,” said Const Mashakane.

The 17 year old was arrested after he was linked to the incident.
