Unlicensed firearm leads to arrest

The suspects were detained at the Yeoville SAPS and are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court soon.

Two suspects have been arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Yeoville.

The incident occurred in Raleigh Street.

“The police received information about two suspects wanted in connection with a business robbery committed in Hillbrow on November 20. Police officers proceeded to Raleigh Street, where they found two suspects. When they searched the men, officers found an unlicensed firearm in their possession,” said Constable Thabo Malatji of the Yeoville SAPS.

The suspects were detained at the Yeoville SAPS and are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
