Home Affairs and JMSF to visit Yeoville

The purpose of the visit is to give the community information regarding all matters related to the department.

The Department of Home Affairs and the Johannesburg Metro Stakeholders Forum (JMSF) will visit the Yeoville Recreation Centre on November 30.

The Recreation Centre is situated in Raleigh Street.

The purpose of the visit is to give the community information regarding all matters related to the department.

Information will be presented on smart card identity documents in general, but with a special focus on pensioners and first time applicants.

Assistance will be given to all those who have never applied for an identity document before and those who have queries regarding late registration of birth (LRB).

Applications for the re-issuing of identity documents and birth certificates will also be done on the day. The visit will begin at 9am until 1pm.

“Community members are encouraged to apply for their documentation as this is key to exercising one’s democratic right to vote, education, health care, accessing financial services and social benefits,” said Mr Ace Maunatlala, the public relations officer of the JMSF.
