House robbery in Kensington

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a man was awoken by his house alarm that had been triggered.

Seven men robbed a Latona Street, Kensington, resident on Tuesday last week.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a man was awoken by his house alarm that had been triggered.

“He found seven men it the passage. Four of them were in possession of firearms, which they pointed at him. They pushed him back into bedroom and tied him and his wife up. They then demanded the keys to the safe,” said Const Mashakane.

The robbers took jewellery, cash and cellular phones before fleeing.

The men entered the premises by forcing the security gate and door open.
