Covid-19: ‘Electronic communication is our greatest tool’ – Humphreys

Ward 20 Clr Jill Humphreys requests in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic that the Bedfordview community stand together by helping and being considerate to one another.

She advises the community to practise social distancing during the pandemic.

“We need to create safe and workable structures to do this. Help each other. We are an innovative species. We can and must do this,” said Humphreys.

“Electronic communication is our greatest tool. However, frequently the most vulnerable elderly are not fully acquainted with or able to utilise these platforms.”

She described Bedfordview as a diverse and caring community that should be aware of the vulnerable people and reach out to assist.

“There is some interesting and positive information about the effect this pandemic has had on nature.

“Nature is enormously resilient. If given a chance she will recover and in doing so, she will allow us to recover too,” said Humphreys.

Humphreys supports the Bedfordview Community Police Forum’s (BCPF) Covid-19 social connection for the elderly and vulnerable in Bedfordview.
