Make extra CASH: NEWS to host its first car boot sale at Goldfields Showgrounds (video)

The cost for an allocated spot to host your car boot sale is R100 per vehicle.

Community members and bargain hunters can look forward to Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS‘ very first car boot sale.
Set to be held at Goldfields Showgrounds on March 29, the Bedfordview Day Market will be a fun-filled family event.

Organised by Bedfordview Day Market and YC Events, and held in partnership with Caxton Local Media and Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS, the event is set to bring community members together.
Whether you are emigrating, hoping to clear some items from your home, or you are freeing up storage space, we invite and encourage community members to participate in the inaugural car boot sale.

Jose Joshua, of YC Events, explained that the previous car boot events in Ekurhuleni, such as Brakpan and Boksburg, have been hugely successful.
“No matter if you are looking for a good deal, or hoping to make some extra money or enjoy a day out with the family, the market is enjoyed by all.
“It’s an event where you can make lasting memories and friends.

“The events attract people from far and wide, and at each sale there are new and exciting items to buy.”
Joshua said the visitors will not be charged an entrance fee as the organisers want to make the day as enjoyable for families as possible.
The cost for an allocated spot to host your car boot sale is R100 per vehicle.
A registered NPO will not pay to have a car boot sale, while a non-registered NPO will pay R50.
Cindy Joshua of YC Events said besides the car boot sale hosted by the NEWS, community members will enjoy food stalls, market stalls and an area for children and live entertainment.
“Community members can hang around and enjoy the day. There will be ample parking,” said Cindy.
Cindy said a Shavathon event will also be held on the day.
She said community members are more than welcome to bring their dogs to the market so long as they are on leads.
“As Goldfields itself will be hosting the dog event, community members are encouraged to respect other pet owners and the rest of the community.
“We hope there will be a lot of feet in the market and that people have a good time.”
The market will start at 9am and end at 3pm.
