FNB Run Your City entries to open

Entries for the 2020 FNB Run Your City Series will open on February 3.

Events are held in Cape Town, Durban and Joburg annually.

The FNB Run Your City Series encourages runners of all ages and walks of life to celebrate the city in which each event is hosted.

Each route highlights iconic landmarks and boasts magnificent views while featuring lively performances from local performing arts groups.

“The FNB Run Your City Series is synonymous with fantastic routes, local and international competition, an impressive prize purse, new records, personal bests, vibrant route entertainment, spectacular sponsor activations, an energetic atmosphere and so much more,” said Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports.

The 2020 Series will commence with the sixth annual FNB Cape Town 12 OneRun in May, followed by the fourth annual FNB Durban 10km run in July and finally the fifth annual FNB Joburg 10km CityRun in September.

The Joburg leg of the series will take place on September 24 and will start at FNB Bank in Johannesburg and finish in Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown.

Entry fees for the event start at R195 for licensed runners and R230 for unlicensed runners.

Charities which will benefit from the event are Cotlands, the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation, the Johannesburg SPCA and Reach for a Dream Foundation.
