HCL hosts a Christmas lunch

The Bedfordview Household Consumers’ League (HCL) ended the year’s activities on a festive note as members gathered over Christmas lunch recently.

Members shared unmarked gifts and also included a surprise raffle sponsored by Pick n Pay.

Chairperson Chloe Eilertsen thanked members for their continued support and expressed the hope that the League would continue from strength to strength.

The HCL followed on from the Housewives League which was established over 50 years ago.

An advocacy group, it is represented at the South African National Consumer Union and acts as a consumer watch dog with the aim to protect the interests of consumers.
