Open day for tennis players at Italian Tennis Club

Duane added they will also donate dozens of rackets to under-privileged players each year.

An open day will be hosted on October 5 at 9am to 1pm at the Italian Tennis Club in Bedfordview. Duane Armstrong from Armstrong Tennis Academy and a certified professional coach said ProKennex and the academy will host the open day to develop tennis players from all backgrounds to achieve their goals on the Tennis South Africa (TSA) rankings.

“Tennis is an expensive sport, and to compete and keep improving, one needs equipment and professional coaching to perfect your technique, tactics and travel to many TSA tournaments countrywide.

“The academy has produced many high-ranked juniors over the years, and focuses on developing tournament players,” said Duane.

There will be a round robin and coaching sessions and a lucky draw, player of the day and most promising player prizes.
