The City of Ekurhuleni still seeks tenants for the Gillooly’s Farm Conference Centre and Mrs Sippi Blues Restaurant buildings to better the use of the facilities.
In response to the NEWS’ article ‘Gillooly’s Parkrun plagued by mud’ in the August 7 edition, Themba Gadebe , the CoE spokesperson, said the City does not have any water pipes in the area.
On the matter of ablution facilities being abandoned, Gadebe said these facilities are not abandoned.
“Council resolved to lease the Gillooly’s Farm Conference Centre and Mrs Sippi Blues Restaurant buildings. The City is currently busy with the tender process to invite interested and suitable investors to lease the properties on a long-term basis for business purposes.” said Gadebe.
Gadebe said a report in this regard is being considered by various Bid Committees of Council.
