Edenvale SAPS cleans up Edenhaven

Edenvale’s men and women in blue paid a visit to Edenhaven Retirement Village where they spent their 67 minutes for Mandela.

During their visit, five officers helped out by washing dishes and assisting staff members.

Edenvale SAPS spokesperson and head of the Social Crime Prevention Unit (SCPU) Sgt Jacob Mashile said the initiative was organised by the SCPU.

“My overall impression is that the event went well,” said Mashile.

Officers from Edenvale SAPS and representatives from Old Mutual in Edenhaven’s kitchen.

While officers where at Edenhaven, representatives from Old Mutual were also at the home.

Mashile said Edenhaven was selected because the elderly are close to Edenvale SAPS’s heart.
