Edenvale Hospital’s chief executive officer said there is no bullet in the young man’s arm.

“After reviewing Sam’s file again, it was determined that there was no bullet left in him except for a few fragments,” said the CEO Dr Claude Monezanga.

“There was an exit wound for the bullet so it left the body.” Monezanga said by trying to extract the fragments it could damage the tissue.

“The fragments can only be seen on the X-ray. It will not compromise the wound. Bullet wounds do not get sutured as doctors prefer them to heal naturally,” Monezanga said

“If a bullet wound is sutured immediately it could become infected.”

“If the family members have concerns or if the wounds are not healing, they can visit the hospital again and speak to me,” said Monezanga.
