A dig around in your cupboards could make care centre residents happy.

Rand Aid’s Thembalami complex, which incorporates the Max Ordman Deaf Association, has a new occupational therapist, Emily Raubenheimer.

She hopes to introduce a number of new activities designed to develop, recover or maintain the skills residents need to carry out essential or meaningful daily activities.

Emily has a number of items on her wish list and hopes that members of the public are willing to donate those things they no longer need.

The list includes kitchen utensils and equipment for cooking and baking and items used for activities during occupational therapy.

All these items will be used for baking, painting and crafts at the care centre.

If you are able to donate any of these items, please call on Emily 011 882 4434.
