Top honours at St Andrew’s

Grade 11 learner, Sarah Adank, was awarded a gold medal as category winner vocal as well as the Ambassador award as one of the top three per cent performers for vocal solo.

Learners from St Andrew’s School for Girls were awarded for outstanding performances in arts and sport.

Phoebe Hsiao, a Grade Seven learner was awarded a medal as category winner Classical music violin.

She was also selected as showcase performer.

Phoebe also received an Ambassador Award for outstanding achievement as one of the top three per cent performers for violin, as well as the Prestige Award for best junior achievement classical music.

Vivian Yan, a Grade 12 learner, was awarded a gold medal as category winner for piano own choice in the senior section.

Acacia-Cailyn Abell, a Grade Four learner has qualified for the u-12B Inter- Provincial Eastern Gauteng Netball team to play in the Cape Town nationals in March next year.

Although Acacia-Cailyn is only 10 years old she will be playing with mostly 12-year-old in this group.

Acacia-Cailyn also participated in her first Level 3/SANJ gala where she placed third in the 400m freestyle.
