Birthdays celebrated

The Angels host a number of functions throughout the year for Thembalami and MODA and help enrich the lives of the care centre residents whenever they can.

The Inyoni Angels once again joined forces with the staff members of Thembalami Care Centre and the Max Ordman Deaf Association (Moda) on October 17, to celebrate the birthdays of all residents born in October.

The monthly birthday bash is always a lively affair, with good things to eat, gifts for all the birthday celebrants and music.

Residents of the Max Ordman Deaf Association follow the instructions of Thembalami manager Elize Raath (out of the frame) and move along to the beat of a song.

The Inyoni Angels are a group of caring residents from nearby Inyoni Creek retirement village.

In October, Inyoni Creek residents provided cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls to be enjoyed at the birthday bash.

Henny Fox, Moira Dowds and Petro Grove enjoy the music.

“A very special thank you to the Inyoni Angels for their commitment to the residents of the Thembalami and Moda Complex. The work you do goes way beyond their expectation. You really do make a difference in the lives of these residents,” said Inyoni Creek’s Val Bartram, who was instrumental in the formation of the group nearly a decade ago.
