Cousins to run the Caxton Reynolds Race

Ntombifuthi Nhlapo and Nompumelelo Kotane will represent the Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS and Joburg East EXPRESS in the Caxton Reynolds Race.

The pair stands the chance to win a trip for four to Mauritius.

The Katlehong-born cousins grew up together and have always done things together.

Their love for adventure made them enter the competition. Nompumelelo is mother to a boy and she is a businesswoman who runs her own entertainment agency.

“Our love for travelling attracted us to the competition, we love to travel, especially together,” said Nompumelelo.

She said they welcomed any opportunity to do things together and continue learning about each other. Ntombifuthi is a devout Christian, who never misses a service. She works as an administrator for the Southern African Fraud Prevention Services. She describes herself as a persistent and outgoing person.

“We hope to enjoy ourselves and make friends,” said Ntombifuthi. She also would not pass up a chance to have fun with her cousin, who she refers to as her sister. Nompumelelo does yoga regularly and also designs jewellery when she has time.

They recalled a trip they took together to Nelspruit, where they had tonnes of fun and adventure. “The trip was not planned, yet we managed to have fun and create memories,” said Nompumelelo. The cousins said they are positive going into the race, with little expectation. They hope for more adventure and a chance to do things together, as they have done for most of their lives.
