Jeppe wins with 103 runs against NZ team
Jeppe batted first and posted a useful 281/6 in their 50 overs
Jeppe High School for Boys first cricket team is all geared up for the Michaelmas Festival.
This was evident with a 103-run win over Westlake, a touring school from Auckland, New Zealand on September 24.
Jeppe batted first and posted a useful 281/6 in their 50 overs.
Top-scorer was Levert Manje on 65, closely followed by Matthew van Dyk, who scored 64.
Westlake battled against the spin of Cian Robertson and Dillan Kirkland, who took 2/40 and 3/14, respectively and were bowled out for 179 with six overs still to face.

Jock McKenzie looked very useful with the bat for Westlake and he was unlucky to go out on 47.
The scores were: Jeppe 281/6 – Matt van Dyk 64, Breidyn Schaper 43, Levert Manje 65, Nhlanhla Mashigo 35, Jock McKenzie 3/38 and Tom Pleciak 2/51.
Westlake 179 – Mitchell Grey 23, Jock McKenzie 47, Dillan Kirkland 3/14, Cian Robertson 2/40 and Mohammed Ahmad 2/43. Jeppe will be playing Hilton, Michaelhouse, DHS and Westville at the Michaelmas Festival in Pietermaritzburg from September 28 to October 3.
