Skye-Lab serves the elderly on Mandela Day
The elderly had a very special tea time with all the baked goods provided by Skye-Lab Technologies.
Skye-Lab Technologies did more than 67 Minutes on Mandela Day, having two events to give back to the community.
Skye-Lab Technologies began Mandela Day at Kensington Methodist Church and provided donated clothing and helped the church hand out canned food.
“We are delighted that Skye-Lab donated clothing to our feeding scheme called KenCare,” said Jean Warburton from the church.
Warburton said Skye-Lab also helped the church distribute cans of food.
She said that unemployed community members visit every Wednesday when the church serves meals and hand out food parcels.
“We were very grateful to have extra hands on Mandela Day,” said Warburton
The next stop for Skye-Lab was St Georges Retirement Village in Bedfordview.

The visitors attended to their every need, serving them and offering any assistance.
The knitting group, known as Pins and Needles, meets every Wednesday from 2.30pm to 3pm to do knitting and embroidery.
They were particularly grateful to have baked treats with their tea at their meeting.
Gwen Armstrong, a resident at St Georges and a member of Pins and Needles, knits beanies and booties for Babies Behind Bars which benefits babies born with HIV in prison.
She also gave back on Mandela Day in this very special way.
