Head of Edenvale SAPS Crime Prevention Unit Colonel Jimmy Munzhelele said the couple was robbed at a residential property in Dunvegan.

Munzhelele said two suspects gained entry onto the property by ramming the gate with their vehicle while the gate was still closing.

Once on the property, the suspects, armed with handguns, held up the community members.

“The suspects took jewellery, a purse, and an undisclosed amount of money,” said Munzhelele.

Police believe that three or more suspects were involved in the robbery.

Munzhelele said no arrests have been made and police are still on the lookout for the suspects.

He urged community members to be alert and vigilant when driving home.

“If you feel that you are being followed drive to your nearest police station,” said Munzhelele.
