Pieter Toerien presents Macbeth at Montecasino

The production comes to Johannesburg hot on the heels of its European debut at the world’s largest and most prestigious International Shakespeare Festival.

After the sensational success of Hamlet in 2017, Pieter Toerien will present Abrahamse and Meyer’s dazzling take on Macbeth.

Macbeth is William Shakespeare’s shortest, darkest and most thrilling tragedy.

It will run at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre from August 15 to September 9.

The production comes to Johannesburg hot on the heels of its European debut at the world’s largest and most prestigious International Shakespeare Festival.

Macbeth is currently being studied by Grade 12 English additional language, as well as Grade 11 English home language learners.

Performances are on Wednesdays at 11am and 3pm, Thursday at 11am and 3pm, Fridays at 3pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm, and at 3pm on Sundays.
