Ward 20 Clr Jill Humphreys sees poor maintenance as the main reason for congestion on Bedfordview’s roads.
Humphreys said the water repair on the corner of Kloof and Van Buuren roads has caused daily traffic chaos.
“This intersection is extremely busy and is often congested. Motorists now have to share a lane with this enormous crater,” she said.
Humphreys said that potholes are plentiful and are becoming worse.
“The pothole problem is being exacerbated by the wet weather,” she said.
A request for comment was sent to the City of Ekurhuleni on April 16.
